At our Nottingham specialist outpatient radiotherapy centre our highly experienced team is here to change the way people experience cancer care.
People come to GenesisCare cancer centre in Nottingham from all over the East Midlands and beyond for the latest cancer treatments, our state-of-the-art facilities and our expert medical teams, including oncology consultants practicing at local and nationally recognised hospitals.

What we offer
We invest in the latest technologies so we can offer many of the most up-to-date types of radiotherapy for all adult cancer types. Your treatment will be personalised to you, and we use special techniques that can reduce side effects.
We have partnered with the charity Penny Brohn UK to provide a unique and evidence-informed approach to supporting your emotional and physical wellbeing during your cancer treatment and beyond. Our on-site Penny Brohn wellbeing consultant is available to you throughout your time as one of our patients.

By car
Difficulty getting to us?
We are located just off the A60, between Mansfield and central Nottingham. From the M1, leave at junction 27 and take the A608 onto the A611, follow onto the B6011 and the A60.
When required, we’ll help our patients with transport depending on treatment and locations. Please enquire for more details.
Car parking
There is plenty of free on-site parking.
Our patient administration team will call you to confirm your appointment details with you and answer any questions you may have.
Your care team will let you know if there’s anything you need to do to prepare for your appointment, for example if you need to avoid eating before or what to bring with you.
Our radiotherapy centre is located on the site of BMI The Park Hospital. If you arrive by car, when you enter the site please turn left, the centre is located in a separate building in the walled car park. There are dedicated car parking spaces next to the centre. One of our receptionists will check you in and show you to our comfortable waiting room before your appointment. We have free tea and coffee facilities for all visitors. Just let us know if there’s anything else you need.
At your first consultation, your doctor will discuss what to expect during any tests, scans or treatments you need. They’ll ask you to complete a consent form before any procedures or treatment. Some procedures may be completed by our partner hospitals. This is a standard requirement and helps make sure you understand exactly what to expect. If you’re unsure of anything, please just ask. Your consultant will take the time to explain and provide additional resources for you if needed.
You can also ask your care team questions at any time if you have any queries or need advice. They’re here to help you throughout your treatment and beyond.
Your care team will give you plenty of advice about what to expect following your appointment. We have plenty of resources such as brochures and webpages to help you, from what’ll happen during your treatment sessions to nutritional advice to help manage symptoms.
You’ll be given advice about aftercare, what to do once you’re home and any potential side effects and how to manage them. We’ll arrange follow-ups with you to check how you’re doing and that the treatment is working as expected.
